Architectural study is the precise representation of a space, whether it is built or is going to be built. Essentially, it is the means by which the architect captures their thoughts on paper.
Factors of architectural design
At ΙΩΝΙΚΗ Engineering, we use architectural design as the primary tool through which we express what we envision and provide the necessary information so that it can reach the stage of construction and completion. Our architectural plans are based on the following principles:
– We want our projects to be functional, improving comfort conditions and performance in the workplace.
– We want our projects to harmoniously blend with the external environment and inspire the people who are in them.
– We want our projects to exude the purpose for which they are created.
Elements of architectural design:
– The building diagram (Coverage Diagram), which includes the plot, the outlines of all levels of the building, a detailed representation of all spaces, schematic sections, a detailed legend, an indicative three-dimensional depiction of the construction, etc., carrying out all necessary checks and calculations in accordance with the Building and Construction Code (BCC).
– The floor plan provides information about the use of the space and its function. Essentially, it is a section of the building from a horizontal level.
– The section is the drawing that informs us about the third dimension, that is, the height of the space and its vertical characteristics in general.
– The elevation is the drawing that presents the outline of the building, the shapes of the openings (doors, windows), the outdoor and semi-outdoor spaces, and the construction materials.
– The detailed drawings of the individual sections of the space and architectural elements, which may accompany the general plans.
At ΙΩΝΙΚΗ Engineering, we undertake comprehensive architectural design for buildings, professional, and industrial spaces, with the guiding principle and goal of making the best possible use of the available space, ensuring the harmonious coexistence of the building with the natural and residential environment, and addressing the unique needs and preferences of each individual.
