With the signing of the first notice of the aid scheme "Processing – Supply Chain", on July 21, and the opening of submissions from 27 July is essentially the start of the new Development Law "Greece Strong Growth".

The aim is the significant change of the environment, state aid to private investment, in order to achieve the greatest possible efficiency of public resources. The ministry of Development and Investment went to all the necessary operations, achieving the modification of the Regional Aid Map and in almost all Regions of the country are set very high ceilings aid with particular attention to the transition areas.

Important innovations are:

  1. The possibility of granting aid for costs not included in the Regional Aid Map such as the costs for advisory services to small and medium-sized businesses, the costs for recycling and reuse of waste and the costs for training, something which is happening for the first time.
  1. The new Integrated Information System (The.E.P. – If you order through modern and automated methods to achieve the simplification of processes and the reduction of unnecessary bureaucracy.

The purpose of this scheme is to provide support to investment projects in the manufacturing sector (with the exception of processing of agricultural products) and investment projects in the industry supply chain with the main subject of the technical, production, managerial, and organizational upgrade, as well as the innovative and outward-looking development and growth.

For obtaining the status of payment Processing – Supply Chain", the minimum height of the eligible costs of the investment project shall be:

a. 1,000,000 eur for large enterprises

b. € 500,000 for medium-sized businesses

c. 250,000 euros for small businesses

d. 100,000 euros for a very small business

e. € 50,000 for the Social Cooperative Enterprises (Cc.P.Et seq.), as well as the Rural Cooperatives (A.P.), Urban Cooperatives, Producer Groups (The.E.) and Rural Partnerships (A.E.P.)

The amount of aid varies depending on the region. Specifically for the region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, the amount of aid for large enterprises is formed in the 50% for medium-sized to 60% and small in 70%.

As the date for the submission of applications for inclusion of investment projects in this regime is defined as the 27th of July, 2022 and end date of the cycle submissions: 31 October 2022.
