With success has been accompanied the first participation of the ΙΩΝΙΚΗ Engineering contest awardsas well received among leading companies in Greece as a HELLENIC PETROLEUM S.E., the THRACE and the AB Vassilopoulos prize for the study of fire prepared for the company's industrial facilities SUNLIGHT SA after the devastating fire in May of 2018.

The ΙΩΝΙΚΗ Engineering participated in the awards Fire & Emergency Excellence Awards 2020 that highlight and reward the best practices, or services, fire and emergency, which contribute to the safety of facilities, spaces and media. The awards were for companies, agencies, local authorities and providers of related services and solutions.

The sub-participated in the ΙΩΝΙΚΗ Engineering was the "Study of Fire safety" category "Fire Administration" which included a total of the following 5 subcategories:

1) Staff Training

2) Technical Support & Maintenance Systems

3) Study Of Fire Safety

4) Investigation Of Incidents

5) Analysis Of Causes Of Event

The specific sub-categories have gathered a large participation, however, only three managed to win an award, with the ΙΩΝΙΚΗ Engineering to receive the award Silver for the project "Unified system of fire safety and industrial safety in industrial facilities of the company systems SUNLIGHT SA, Xanthi, greece".

The peculiarity of this award lies in the nature of the event under the auspices of the highly-regarded of-a-kind, Boussias Communications. The evaluation of entries by 20μελή review commission with the appropriate professional and scientific background reinforces the importance of the award in conjunction with the participation of leading Greek companies such as HELLENIC PETROLEUM S.E. emerging Company of the year" winning a total of four "Gold" awards.

In the category of "Fire Administration" there has not been a Gold award, while the "Bronze" award ended up in the Thrace Plastics Pack S. a. – Factory ioannina, Ioannina, greece, with the ΙΩΝΙΚΗ Engineering to be emerging among the top brand names.

The rest of the participants and winners highlight the fullest extent of the daily work of the team of engineers of ΙΩΝΙΚΗ Engineering, proving that an office of engineers, which is not located in major urban centers, it can take on projects and to meet the needs and requirements of major industries such as the SUNLIGHT SA with professionalism, respect, and efficiency. 

The award ceremony was held on Tuesday, 15 September 2020 in Tzaferi 16 in Gazi in Athens, greece. THE ΙΩΝΙΚΗ Engineering was represented by the Director-General of the company, Dimitris Vezeri , and the person Responsible for Marketing and Communication, Elias Tsoka.

The President of the Jury, Dr. Michael Chalaris, Senior Officer P.S., Professor of the K.ME.A. Fire Academy, stated: "Around the passive and active fire protection, and the management of emergencies has developed a considerable amount of economic activity. By means of these awards, we highlighted the contribution of the effective management of security and fire-fighting facilities, spaces and media, in the context of the competitiveness of enterprises and organizations».

The categories of the second pillar, "Activities", Gold award, received the HELLENIC PETROLEUM s. a.(4 Gold) and the Cultcom Conferences Consulting & Heavy Industry Solutions.
